Happy New Year 2017!

2016: The year I traveled to California and D.C., became a minimalist, took my first cruise with my best friends, went on my first cabin trip, made a life-changing 3-week solo trip across the globe to Tanzania, Africa, and completed a 10-day transformation that I will carry with me into the new year as I transition into the next stage of my life.

2017: The year I hope to begin a new life in Houston, Texas, cross the final continent of Australia off my bucket list of travels, learn to cook, practice the piano, become a NICU nurse, partake in the wedding celebrations of my best friends, make countless new memories through fun travels and adventures, and continue to meditate/be present and continue my journey of spiritual growth.

It was this past year that my decade of self-discovery came full-circle as I found the difference between my true self and my worldly self, took my health to a new level, learned about a different kind of love, begin adjusting to real adult responsibilities, and found contentment with living and laughing in the moment despite whatever challenges and struggles life brings my way. The next year is the time I will have to apply all the lessons I have learned during my life so far and truly put others before myself. I know without a trace of a doubt that my faith will get me through any difficulties and I am beyond excited to continue the rest of my life journey with a husband and new family who give me more love than most people can ever dream of in a lifetime.

In finding the positivity in few simple things that truly matter, I have found a peace that I hope to carry with me for the rest of my life. To everyone who is reading this, I pray that you experience true inner peace at least once in your lifetime, and I wish you all an upcoming year of happiness, health, love, abundance, courage in times of struggle, and endless fun and laughter! Remember to work hard and trust in the universe, and never take life too seriously- after all, you’ll never make it out alive;) Happy New Year!

But really…

“We will open the book; it’s pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and it’s first chapter is New Year’s Day.”

Here are just a few of my favorite memories to end the year with; can’t wait to see what the new year of 2017 will bring!
