When we are children, we spend a lot of time with our parents and family, as it is natural for us to do once again with our children and families as married adults. But during the very important time of development in between these two stages of life, we come across people that we click with who decide to stick by our side through thick in thin as we find our way through life. These very special people, each one with their very special qualities, mold us into the people we are destined to become. Over time, parts of our lives continue to intertwine until one day, you realize that there is a special place inside your heart just for them- a space of love for the best and most genuine friendships you have created during your lifetime.
The people who I consider my best friends have been an important part of my life for at least the past decade, and I can proudly say with confidence that my life would not be the way it is without them. As you get older, you understand the importance of quality over quantity, and I am blessed to have such amazing women who know me so well and have always loved me, supported me, gone through ups and downs with me, and become my soul sisters. Although I am saddened by the fact that I will be moving so far away from my friends, it brings me happiness to hear of the impact I have had on their lives as they have had on mine. Time cannot ever take away the memories we have built and distance cannot ever separate hearts that are connected in true friendship.
These unique relationships I have developed with my best friends over the past decade mean more to me than I can ever express, but it brings me comfort to know there is an unspoken understanding amongst us that will allow them to always remain an important part of my life that will never fail to bring a smile on my face. Here are some of my favorite pictures with my best friends from recent events, including my best friend’s birthday and some of my most memorable life events!
“There are some people in life who make you laugh a little louder, smile a little bigger, and live a little bit better.” “One friend who understands your tears is more valuable than a lot of friends who only know your smile.” “Good friends are like stars. You don’t always see them but you know they’re always there.”
