“Love… We think about it, sing about it, dream about it, lose sleep worrying about it. When we don’t have it, we search for it; when we discover it, we don’t know what to do with it; when we have it, we fear losing it. It is the constant source of pleasure and pain. But we can’t predict which it will be from one moment to the next. It is a short word, easy to spell, difficult to define, impossible to live without”.
Love. That thing we all want, The thing we sometimes forget about once we’ve found it. That thing that makes all human beings in this unverse alike in one way. The thing we take for granted if we have it, the thing we think we’ll never find if we’ve never experienced it. The thing we fear losing, or never finding. The feeling that is impossible to describe, that leads to insanity. And crazy, sometimes random actions that we may regret later on. The feeling that can change our lives.
Love is everything. The most important thing. The only thing that really matters. We all read about it, hear about it, see others have it, dream about it, wish we had it. Maybe tell ourselves it doesn’t exist even though we know it does, because that’s easier. It causes problems, it solves problems. We are confused and frustrated by everything about it, but desire it more than anything. We get angry or jealous when it goes wrong, dont know what to do with it once we have it. Without it, I think there would be no point in life. Not even the wise or experienced can teach it, the young can never fully understand it. The young think it lies in the future, the old feel as if it lies in the past. Love sees no difference in race or gender or anything else.
Deep, intense, and real, it is what makes the world go round. It causes so much and nothing at all to happen. It is the mystery of the world, the closest thing we have to magic. Love is love. It is as simple and as complicated as that.
“Everyone says love hurts, but that is not true. Loneliness hurts.
Rejection hurts. Losing someone hurts. Envy hurts. Everyone gets these
things confused with love. But in reality love is the only thing in
this world that covers up all pain and makes someone feel wonderful
again.”
