According to the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2012, the top 5 killers in Africa are: HIV/AIDS, lower respiratory tract infections, diarrheal diseases, malaria, and strokes. Millions of people continue to die as a result of these health-related issues, and it is our responsibility to educate ourselves and provide support in any way we can.
As you may be aware, I will be traveling to Tanzania, Africa for a medical mission trip to a local hospital in the city of Arusha. The greatest needs of the hospitals are basic medical supplies such as sterile gloves, bandages, medical tape, etc., funds to create more sterile water sources, and medical equipment such as suction machines in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). I am currently collecting funds through the end of my trip to purchase medical supplies needed to keep these hospitals going. 100% of your donations will go directly towards the funds for these medical supplies. I will not be using any of these funds for my own travels or expenses. Any small amount makes such a huge difference, and the hospitals will not be able to continue providing care and saving lives without YOUR help!
